Christmas Park & Ride

City centre car parks can be busy around the festive season, so to make your visit as easy as possible we recommend that you use public transport or Winchester's Park & Ride. Full information, plus park & walk maps, can be found on Winchester City Council's website.

Winchester has five Park & Ride locations: South Winchester, Pitt, and the East Winchester car parks –Barfield, Barfield Phase II and St Catherine's. St Catherine's and the Barfield car parks are the closest to the city centre, meaning you could also park and walk into Winchester.

Barfield P&R site has additional facilities such as EV charging points, parent and child spaces, and a greater number of disabled spaces.

To accommodate extra visitors coming into Winchester during Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market 2025, extra Park & Ride services will be in place from Wednesday 19 November until Tuesday 23 December 2025. You can find the festive Park & Ride timetable here.

Winchester's two-tone green P&R buses serves all of the P&R car parks and the key destinations in between. All Park & Ride locations take coin, debit/credit card, and RingGo as methods of payment.
