A Taste of Winchester

Winchester will celebrate its vibrant culinary scene again as A Taste of Winchester returns for a delicious fortnight of food and drink. Running from 22 June to 5 July 2026, the festival will build on the success of last year’s event.

A Taste of Winchester offers an exciting opportunity to experience the very best of the city and district’s local talent. Restaurants, cafés, pubs, retailers, producers, and makers will come together to present a diverse array of events, tastings, special menus, and local and global flavours.

During this foodie fortnight, you can introduce your tastebuds to something new, learn about the provenance of what's on your plate, see behind the scenes in some of our well-loved bars and restaurants, or even forage for new local flavours for your own cooking.

In 2025, Winchester businesses were encouraged to create unique and memorable experiences that reflected the best of the city's hospitality. The celebration also coincided with other major local events, including the Winchester Garden Festival, Beer & Cider Festival, and Hat Fair, creating a perfect moment to highlight Winchester as a thriving food destination.
