Christmas wreath workshops in Winchester
Wreath making is always popular and there are plenty of places in Winchester to take a workshop come November and December.
Lainston House is running series of wreath-making workshops where you also get a festive afternoon tea on 13 and 20 December 2025.
The Colour Factory are offering workshops with artist Carol Wade on the 7 and 14 December.
Cobbs Farm Shop just outside Winchester are hosting wreath-making workshops with an optional festive afternoon tea, run by florist Wildbunch, on 27 November and 2 and 4 December.
The Cart & Horses in Kingsworthy are running a macrame wreath workshop on 25 November, if you fancy creating something a little bit different this Christmas.
Winchester Royal Hotel are holding Craft Your Own Christmas Wreath sessions on 29 November and 4 December.
Head to Lower Norton Flower Farm just outside Winchester for a luxury wreath-making workshop on 28 and 29 November and 5 and 6 December.
The Chestnut Horse, The Long Barn and Hampshire Flower Barn have hosted workshops in the past too, so keep checking back as craft workshops for Christmas 2025 are still being announced.

Christmas craft activities for families and children
BellaCrafts is the go-to Winchester location for Christmas crafts aimed at younger visitors. They are also running lantern-making sessions on 6 and 16 November 2025, perfect for taking to Winchester Cathedral Lantern Parade later in the month.
Head to The Arc for a range of family-friendly festive craft workshops. Children aged 6+ can make their own wooden Rudolf on 22 December or a Christmas pudding pom-pom on 23 December. Little ones aged 4 and over can take part in bauble decorating on Christmas Eve.

Make your own Christmas gifts
From carving and sculpting to pottery and painting, Winchester offers a vast array of Christmas crafts for adults to enjoy. You just have to decide whether you want to gift your handmade treasures or keep them for yourself!

Cobbs Farm Shop are hosting a Festive Jewellery ‘Moves’ Workshop on 19 November where qualified jeweller Fiona will guide participants to make silver bangles or silver stacking rings.
Visit The Colour Factory for a festive carving workshop on 3 December, to solder a copper bauble on 6 December or to learn how to make festive earrings on December 10.

Mindful Christmas craft events in Winchester
If you're in need of some festive down time, grab a friend and spend a relaxing few hours learning something new this season.
Head to Marwell Hotel to try painting tea light holders or shaping and designing your own festive crockery at this Christmas pottery workshop.
Paint your own Christmas bauble (9 December) or a bottle of festive fizz (11 November) at The Cart and Horses in Kingsworthy.

Crafting at Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market
Winchester Cathedral's Christmas Market is recognised as one of the best in Europe and is open 21 November- Â 22 December 2025.
Alongside the market, the Undercroft is often bustling with various festive workshops. From candle-making and glass fusing to silversmithing and painting. Great for a pre-Christmas get together with friends and family.
