Winchester Distillery is a locally run distillery based in the market town of Alresford, on the edge of the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park and nestled in the heart of Hampshire. This distillery, founded by Paul Bowler in 2014 in his small home kitchen in Winchester, produces the locally renowned gin, Twisted Nose. This iconic spirit was crafted following 83 previous recipe attempts and includes ten botanicals featuring Alresford’s local watercress. Find out more about the Winchester Distillery here.

Lots of us in Winchester know about the great taste of Twisted Nose, and now the Winchester Distillery can claim to be a double award winning distillery for both their gin and their vodka. Twisted Nose Gin won the World’s Best Gin Design at the World Gin Awards back in February and, if that wasn’t enough, they also secured the gold medal for Twisted Nose Wasabi Vodka in the World’s Best Flavoured Vodka category of the World Vodka Awards 2020. Here more about their success here.

Recently the Winchester Distillery have teamed up with other Hampshire based businesses to create five gift boxes, stuffed with local treats worth over £100, as a thank you to some of the special people who have gone above and beyond during the Coronavirus pandemic. From among over 250 incredible nominations five Hampshire Heroes have been chosen – read all about them here.

If you love Twisted Nose Gin you will love the cocktail creations Paul has shared on the Winchester Distillery website. Why not try the Hampshire Collins for a light, refreshing take on a Tom Collins, or mix it up with a summer garden G&T?
