Naomi House & Jacksplace are local children and young adults hospices based in Sutton Scotney. They provide outstanding care and support to the most medically complex children and young adults across central southern England. Your support at one of their events will help them to continue making precious memories for the families in their care. This Christmas, they are kick starting the festive season with a variety of Christmas events in Winchester that you can get involved in.
To start the festivities on 1 December, Winchester Santa Fun Run returns for its 16th year. Hundreds of Santas descend to the streets to take on a 2/5k run around the historic streets. The yuletide dash is perfect for children and adults and runners of all ability. Dressed in Santa suits, the runners will begin with a festive Zumba warm-up at 8.55am, before taking on the route through the city and past a number of Winchester’s most famous attractions, including the King Alfred Statue and Winchester Cathedral. The race finishes outside the Guildhall in a flurry of snow. This year the charity are reducing their carbon footprint by replacing the Santa suits with a festive Santa t-shirt that can be used for fancy dress and future events.
Gemma Rolfe, Fundraising Officer at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

Our brand new Santa t-shirts along with Santa’s hat will fill the streets with colour and bring joy to the people of Winchester.
