'The Lawless Land of Jane Austen' Talk

Join historical dress expert Mark Wallis for a fascinating exploration of the darker side of Jane Austen’s world. This swashbuckling talk will range from naval history and piracy to press-gangs, smugglers and the threat of invasion. As an expert on historical dress, Mark offers a unique viewpoint on Georgian crime and punishment, illustrated with his extensive collection of original menswear and accessories.
