The Hospital of St Cross Chapel Tower Tours

Step beyond the public view and uncover the hidden heights of The Hospital of St Cross on our Tower Tour. This 90-minute to two-hour guided tour reveals secret parts of the chapel’s ancient structure, guiding you through dusty passageways, over exposed beams, up spiral staircases – and, weather permitting, along the parapet of the historic tower. It’s equal parts hands-on adventure and historical deep dive – ideal for the sure-footed and strong-stomached!

Expect narrow spiral stairs with no handrails, uneven floors, low beams, steep climbs and a backward step onto a ladder(!)
