Friends of King Alfred Buses on New Year's Day

Welcome in the New Year with free rides around Winchester city and its surroundings on magnificent heritage buses. Run by Friends of King Alfred Buses, the day will see free buses depart from the Broadway.

The city's regular buses won't run on 1 January, so the vintage buses will instead run regular services along Winchester's main roads throughout the day. "Romsey Road, Stockbridge Road, Andover Road and Worthy Road all have schedules designed to make them easy for people to use to travel in and out of the city," say Friends of King Alfred Buses.

They usually run between 9am and 5pm, though it's recommended to check their website for details.
