Father Christmas Returns to The Watercress Line!

Step into a world of festive magic as you join Father Christmas for a joyful journey on the Father Christmas Express. Departing from his Hampshire hideaway at Ropley Station, this enchanting steam train ride takes you through the countryside to Medstead, with plenty of Christmas cheer along the way.

Onboard, children will meet Father Christmas himself and receive a magic token, which they can later exchange for a special gift at Present Junction back at Ropley. The festive fun doesn’t end there. Before and after your train ride, there’s so much more to enjoy.

Explore Father Christmas’ hideaway, follow the Elf Door activity trail, and enjoy hands-on fun like making reindeer food, writing letters to Father Christmas, or taking a festive photo in the giant gingerbread frame or on his very own throne. Visitors will also enjoy a ride on the Miniature Railway, while grown-ups can warm up with seasonal treats at the Festive Chalet.
