Dress Up Day

Step back in time and get a sense of life in Regency England by joining Jane Austen’s House for their popular annual Dress Up Day!

On this special Saturday, you’re invited to dress up in your finest Regency outfits! If you don't have a Regency dress of your own, there’ll be plenty for you to try on.

This year Dress Up Day will fall on the anniversary of Jane Austen's death, making it a particularly special and poignant day to look back and celebrate her unique life, her beloved novels and characters, and her extraordinary literary legacy.

There is also lots to do throughout the day, including free pop up talks and Regency Country Dance demonstrations and workshops by historical dance group The Georgettes of Oxford.

There are also some very special ticketed events to enjoy throughout the day, including talks, tours, a dressing demonstration and village walk.
