About Winnall Moors Nature Reserve

A nature reserve right in the city centre, Winnall Moors is a chalk stream wetland where the River Itchen flows. It's a haven for wildlife and makes for a peaceful place to wander, thanks to paths, boardwalks and bridges. Look out for wildflowers, kingfishers, swans and deer.

There is one surfaced path and boardwalk, just under 1 mile long. It can get muddy but is flat and accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs only.

Free to enter.
