With plenty of outdoor space, and a whole host of animals and activities, Marwell Zoo is a great family day out in Hampshire. Their 140-acre park is home to 100s of animals from giraffes, snow leopards and rhinos to meerkats, penguins and lemurs. They also have 7 adventure play areas, cafes and a gift shop.
We recommend allowing four hours to fully explore the zoo and keep up to date on feed times, offers and our interactive map there's even a visit planner to help you get the most from your day.
A visit to Marwell is a chance to get close to the wonders of the natural world and find out how our conservationists are making a difference for future generations. The zoo is owned and operated by global conservation charity, Marwell Wildlife. By visiting you'll be contributing towards their incredible projects to conserve species and habitats, both in Hampshire and around the world. By choosing to donate and Gift Aid your tickets when purchasing, you'll be supporting the zoo even further!

Directions
By car, the zoo is situated just off the B2177 between Colden Common and Bishops Waltham; follow the large brown tourist signs. If you’re planning a motorway route, then head off the M3 at J11 or the M27 at J10 (westbound) or J5 (eastbound).
By rail, The nearest train stations are Southampton Airport Parkway (7 miles), Eastleigh (5 miles) and Winchester (8 miles).
By bus, the Stagecoach 69 from Winchester to Marwell Zoo is available on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays.
