About Farley Mount Country Park

A large area of chalk downland and ancient woodland on the outskirts of Winchester city, Farley Mount Country Park is named after the Farley Mount Monument, a hilltop monument to a horse named "Beware Chalk Pit". There is a pleasant walk to the monument, which offers incredible views over the surrounding countyside.

You can explore the green spaces of Farley Mount Country Park, as well as nearby Pitt Down and West Wood, using a network of walking paths, cycle trails and bridleways.

Need to know: There are a number of free carparks in the area. There are no facilities in Farley Mount Country Park.
