Looking for ways to celebrate Pancake Day in Winchester? This year, Pancake Day falls on Tuesday 17 February 2026, which just happens to be in the middle of February half-term.
To mark the occasion, the Winchester Cathedral Pancake Races take place annually in the city on Shrove Tuesday and 2026 is no exception. Come along to sample pancakes from a food truck outside the cathedral before watching local teams compete in races to win prizes such as 'team wearing the best fancy dress'.

You'll find a branch of Josie's opposite The Arc in central Winchester, as well as in nearby market towns Alresford and Bishop's Waltham.
