There are plenty of chocolate treats and sweets to enjoy this Easter school holiday in Winchester including eggs from one of our larger prehistoric animals coming to a zoo near us… Watch out Easter Bunny – T-Rex is on the loose and he’s giving out his eggs at Marwell over the Easter weekend. For more traditional activities head to Winchester Cathedral and make your very own Easter basket or take part in one of the many bunny trails happening at our local attractions – you can even meet some real rabbits and chicks at Sparsholt College’s Easter bunny event and take part in some tasty science experiments at Winchester Science Centre.
And it’s not just the Easter bunny that you can meet – fans of Thomas the Tank Engine will be delighted to hear Thomas and friends will be returning to Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line to entertain kids of all ages!
Let someone else do the cooking for you on Easter Sunday and enjoy a first class roast at one of our fine restaurants or cosy pubs. Check in to Lainston House Hotel or Winchester Royal Hotel for lunch.
Winchester Theatre Royal is also setting the stage for some live family entertainment from Edinburgh Fringe Festival favourite – The Amazing Bubble Man to the much-loved colourful patchwork Elephant…
