Celebrate English Wine Week in Winchester district between Saturday 21 June and Sunday 29 June 2025, featuring special events, festivals, and tastings!
Since the 1950s, Hampshire grapes have been used in an ever-growing number of English sparkling wines, accounting for over 14% of UK production. The chalky slopes and low, warm, south facing valleys create the ideal conditions for growing grapes used in sparkling wine production.
Visit Hambledon Vineyard and experience a Tour and Tasting, which reveals the intricate process behind crafting sparkling wines in Hampshire, ending with a guided tasting. Or, at The Restaurant, feast on vibrant, delicious dishes made from high-quality local ingredients.
Near Alresford, The Grange offers tours of its south-facing vineyard overlooking the waters of the River Itchen. The estate also hosts The Grange Festival annually – an acclaimed world-class opera event in a spectacular English country house setting.
Meanwhile, Wickham is home to Quob Park, a 170-acre estate offering a range of events year-round, including vineyard and winery tours, tasting experiences, picnics in the vines, and live music nights.
At Exton Park, experience everything their stunning 60-acre vineyard has to offer with a small group tour and tasting experience on the private estate. Discover how their grapes are grown and nurtured using the most natural methods possible as you’re guided around the sustainable vineyard.
Don't miss the final hurrah of English Wine Week! At Fizz Fest, taste Hampshire’s premium sparkling and still wines and talk to the people who are the heart of the county's winemaking industry Plus, you can enjoy local street food, live music, masterclasses, and vineyard tours. This year, Fizz Fest will be at Raimes Wine Barn on 29 June.
