Collecting and Connoisseurship: Winchester's Greek Vases in Context

Winchester has a collection of almost one hundred examples of ancient Greek painted pottery. Most of these were purchased by the school, or given as gifts, in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This free exhibition in Winchester College's Treasury museum, curated by a group of pupils in the sixth form, examines the history of the Winchester collection alongside wider developments in the study and collecting of Greek vases.
The exhibition opens in mid-April 2026. Entry is free and there is no need to pre-book.
