An Evening of Persuasion at Jane Austen's House

Jane Austen’s House are delighted to present a very special evening of Jane Austen and music.

Begin by exploring the House, examining objects from the museum collection, before dropping into the Historic Kitchen for an informal drinks reception with acclaimed historian and author Lucinda Hawksley.

You’ll then move into the Drawing Room, for an intimate concert performed by The Sylvan Duo – Harpist Megan Humphries and Soprano Lucy Breakwell – and poignant readings from Persuasion.

Inspired by the concert attended by Anne and Wentworth in Persuasion, and concerts that Jane Austen herself attended in the Bath Assembly Rooms, Megan and Lucy will perform musical magic – whisking you back in time to the early 1800s.
