Hands-on science for curious minds
Discover two floors of interactive exhibits where children can test ideas, solve challenges and uncover the science behind the world around them. Catch a spectacular live science show filled with exciting demonstrations, then journey through the stars in the UK's largest standalone planetarium. Best of all, one planetarium show is now included with general admission.
Outdoor adventures inspired by Hampshire
The fun continues outside with three immersive experiences inspired by Hampshire's unique chalk landscape.
Search for fossils and scramble over a giant mosasaur skeleton in Dino Dig, experiment with water flow and discover fascinating wildlife in The Chalk Stream, or climb, crawl and play in the woodland world of Dormouse Den. Each outdoor experience encourages children to get active while exploring nature, habitats and the environment.
More to explore all year round
Alongside its permanent exhibits, Winchester Science Centre hosts seasonal events, themed activities and special exhibitions throughout the year, so there's always something new to experience.
With an on-site café, gift shop, accessible facilities and free parking, it's an easy choice for a family day out. From exploring the wonders of space to uncovering the secrets of Hampshire's natural landscape, there's something to inspire every curious mind.
