Winchester’s official tourist guides have been guiding in Winchester for more than 30 years and share an enthusiasm for their city and a desire to bring it alive for both visitors and residents alike.

Throughout January, February and March tours run on a Saturday, and from April tours run daily. The 11am tour follows the upper city route while the 2pm tour takes in the lower city sights.

Tickets for the 11am tour are £11 per person with children under 16 free. Tickets can be bought on the day of visit from the Visitor Information Centre, or online in advance.

Watch the video below for a taste of what to expect on a guided tour of the city.

All tours start from the Winchester Visitor Information Centre – home to a beautiful shop showcasing some of Winchester’s finest local produce from the districts award-winning independent producers and makers; including prints, soaps, ceramics, preserves, gins, mead, and honey – there is so much to choose from and more additions to come.

You can contact the team prior to your visit by phoning 01962 840 500 or emailing tourism@winchester.gov.uk.
