Alfred The Great!

The King Alfred, The Little Pub Group’s latest recruit, is a haven away from the bustle of the city yet only a 10-minute walk from the high street.

Cosy corners, freshly cooked classic pub food (as well as daily specials) and real ales served by real people, who love being here as much as you will.

Just in case you don’t want to leave, upstairs we have five divine letting bedrooms fit for a King.

Wander down to the gem in Winchester’s crown.

The King Alfred pub is part of the very local Little Pub Group, with four other establishments in the city all offering something a "bit different" and definitely worth visiting during your stay...

The Green Man So much more than just a pub...it's a little enclave of hospitality; a stylish hang-out, and a great meeting place for friends, family or an intimate tête-à-tête.

The Corner House, referred to as a shabby chic continental café bar, serves legendary breakfasts, brunches, lunches, teas, suppers and fabulous finer dining dinner.

The St James Tavern is a proper pub! Offering proper pub grub, bar lunches, suppers and brunch at the weekend. Just damned good pub food and award winning cask ales.

The Mucky Duck is Winchesters premier sporting bar for the discerning lady and her good gentleman. Serving splendid tucker, spiffing ales and very quaffable wines.
