After strolling along the path you will come to the Maidenhair tree (Ginkgo biloba) and then looking through the trees from this point you will also see a Dawn Redwood tree (Metasequoia glyptostroboides).
The Maidenhair tree originated in China and has fan-shaped which turn clear yellow in autumn. Each tree has either male or female flowers. The male flowers are catkin-like and yellow, while the female flowers are smaller and also produces fruits that mature after autumn and smell of rancid butter during the ripening process. I wonder whether this one is a male or female, what do you think it is?
The Dawn Redwood tree is a beautiful tree and this one is set in such a tranquil location. Although it looks like an evergreen during the growing season as it’s clothed in mid-green needles before it turns russet-red in autumn and gracefully falls from the branches.
