Congratulations to all the winners of the Beautiful South Awards 2019 – 2020, an annual celebration rewarding excellence, quality, innovation and customer service across the South East of England.
Particular congratulations to Marwell Zoo who took the gold award in the Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism category and the silver award for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year. The Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium took the silver award for the Access and Inclusivity category and Wallops Wood Cottages claimed two gold awards for Self Catering Accommodation of the Year and the Access and Inclusivity Award. Winchester also claims a Pub of the Year Award with the Running Horse Inn taking the Bronze.
The awards, run by Tourism South East in partnership with Services for Tourism Ltd, were hosted by travel journalist and broadcaster Simon Calder and celebrated 80 of the best tourism business and experiences in the South East. Find out more about the awards here.
The category winners now have the opportunity to represent the South East at the national Tourism Excellence Awards in the spring.
