A superbly large and comfortable room in a city centre Georgian house with stunning original features, high ceilings, plaster cornices and chandeliers. Situated on the ground floor with stair-free, private and personal access the room boasts a sitting area with a work table and free wi-fi – perfect for a tourist stay or visiting professional that needs some space.
The king size bed is fitted with a Tempur mattress, sumptuous pillows and luxurious bedlinen, all to give an excellent nights sleep following a hard day at work or play.

The en-suite shower room, with its range of Baylis and Harding toiletries, is guaranteed to invigorate for the evening’s entertainment or for the busy day to come.

Breakfast is served in the kitchen/dining area and is a healthy choice including fresh fruit and yogurt, porridge in the colder months and low-fat cereals in the warmer months, or boiled, poached or scrambled eggs followed by toast and a selection of marmalade, jams and honey, all washed down with fresh cafetière coffee and Whittard leaf teas.

The train station is 15 minutes walk from Penny Farthing House but taxis are available at the station if you have heavy luggage.

The coach stops by King Arthur’s statue in the Broadway which is five minutes walk to Penny Farthing House.

By Road

Leave the M3 at Junction 9 or 10 and take to the B3404 Bar End Road toward Winchester City Centre. Cross the mini roundabout and the road name changes to Chesil Street. Continue toward the city centre, after approximately half a mile Penny Farthing House is on the right just before the pedestrian crossing. Parking is at the back of the building.
