The event organisers have informed us that the normal Winchester Bonfire and Fireworks 2020 has been cancelled this year due to Covid-19. But for the people of Winchester, something special is about to be launched. Follow them on social media to find out more.

Every November, the sky is lit up by the city’s biggest display of fireworks as around 20,000 people join together to celebrate Bonfire night and to raise money for charities and good causes throughout the city of Winchester.

Starting on The Broadway by King Alfred’s Statue, the torchlit procession meanders its way through the historical streets of Winchester to the fields behind River Park.

The event is not run for profit, all profits to go to the Winchester Round Table Charitable Trust Fund to help local people who really need it.
