Chawton House will be hosting the inaugural Summer Fayre: celebrating Jane Austen and the village of Chawton. There’ll be talks, workshops, displays and plenty of Regency entertainment in the house and grounds, with a large marquee in the Chawton House gardens.
Come along and try your hand at lace tatting or calligraphy, browse the beautiful stalls with handmade arts and crafts or take part in traditional games.

Please note that only some rooms of the house will be open on this day. Neighbour passes and annual tickets will not be valid.

The house and gardens are open to the public from 4 March to 16 December, including weekends and bank holidays.
They are open seven days a week. 11am – 4.30pm. Last entry 4pm.
The Old Kitchen Tearoom is open Monday-Friday 9am – 4pm, Weekends and Bank Holidays 11am – 4pm.
