An evening in conversation with Michelangelo biographer Martin Gayford, author of ‘Michelangelo: His Epic Life’, in which he explores what it felt like to be Michelangelo Buonarroti, and how he transformed forever our notion of what an artist could be. Martin Gayford has been art critic of the Spectator and the Sunday Telegraph.

Martin will be joined by resident interviewer and writer Rebecca Fletcher to explore the art and life of a true genius, while drawing on the biographer’s own career leading to his latest work ‘The Pursuit of Art: Travels, Encounters and Revelations’, to be published in September 2019.

In conjunction with the Hampshire Cultural Trust exhibition ‘Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: A Different View’ in The Gallery & City Space at Winchester Discovery Centre, and The Great Hall until 29 September.
