The I AM Writing Festival is the place to be if you have ever wanted to delve into the world of publishing, improve your writing and editing skills, find inspiration or pitch your book to an agent. There are over 50 workshops taking place at the University of Winchester between taught by some bestselling authors and publishing professionals. Whether it is picture books. middle grade, young adult, romance, historical, literary, horror, science fiction or non-fiction you are writing, there will be something for you. If it’s voice and viewpoint you need help with, setting your scene, understanding your protagonist and antagonist better, writing a poem, or a song, connecting with more readers of your books, or pitching to an agent or publisher, you will leave knowing how to shape your career as a writer. Who’s coming? We are ever grateful for all the people who agreed to be part of our incredible line-up. Our keynote speakers are Philip Ardagh, Joanna Cannon, Lucy Diamond, Juliet Mushens and Adele Parks. And our workshop leaders include Claire Barker, Kate Bradley, Tracey Corderoy, Adrienne Dines, Helen (H.L) Dennis, Simon Hall, Karen Hamilton, Vanessa Harbour, Judith Heneghan, Debbie Howells, Lauren James, David Litchfield, L.V Matthews, Jenny McLachlan, Tom McLaughlin, James Nicol, Scott Pack, and Amy Sparkes to name a few. Bookouture and HarperCollins will also be there.
