Chawton House is filled with wonderful paintings, furniture, decorative items and, of course, books. Use your powers of observation, as well as imagination, to bring those inanimate objects to life as inspiration for potential stories, whether in prose or poetry. The tutor will also provide additional paintings and photographs to spark story-telling opportunities. All levels are welcome. The programme runs from 10am to 2.30pm and includes a light lunch as well as morning coffee. Please let us know of any dietary requirements in advance. About the host Claire Thurlow is a writer and writing coach who is passionate about helping people who have an urge to write. She has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Sussex and is an experienced workshop facilitator, editor and published author. She is particularly interested in writing for wellbeing and nature writing and is working on a novel. www.clairethurlow.com
