Santa is back in the Planetarium for Cosmic Christmas! Blast off on a live-action immersive festive space adventure for the whole family before meeting the man himself and getting a special Christmas gift.
Christmas cheer has taken over the Planetarium and Santa’s North Pole has come to Winchester. Young and old will be transported to an intergalactic wonderland as Christmas comes to life through an immersive theatrical experience like no other. Live science, magical effects and an out-of-this-world journey through space on the Planetarium dome will come together as a brand new original Christmas tale comes alive. Then let your anticipation build as you meet the man himself and receive a special Christmas gift.
What adventures will Santa share this year? Join us on a totally unique Christmas journey to find out. Sit and listen as Santa tells a tale of cosmic adventure. Watch as the intergalactic planetary elf, Aster, brings it all to life through live science and a magical Planetarium space journey. Join in with some fun audience participation and be wowed by magical immersive effects. And meet Santa himself for photos and presents.

Your Cosmic Christmas experience includes:
- An immersive theatrical performance filled with live science, magical effects and a Planetarium adventure (there will be audience participation which may be loud and the show will use immersive elements)
- A meet and greet with Santa and a chance to take photos
- A Christmas gift (for all children who have a regular or annual membership ticket – babes in arms are free but will not receive a gift unless a ticket is purchased for them)
Please note that the experience will last approximately 45 minutes, including your meeting with Santa – waiting times for this may affect the length of the experience. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the Science Centre, including during Cosmic Christmas. Babes in arms do not require a ticket.
You will need to purchase a general admission ticket in order to join us for Cosmic Christmas. Your general admission ticket will give you access to the two floors of interactive exhibits, free live science show, huge live science demos and nature adventures in Bio:Space. You’ll also be able to take part in Science Dino-mite, with a Dino Dig, Dino Discovery and Dino Trail all included with admission
