A new Christmas gift buying event will be launched at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens on 8th & 9th December. Artful Christmas Weekend will feature the work of twenty local artists and makers.
Those looking for unique, hand crafted Christmas gifts will be able to choose from a range of ceramics, prints & paintings, textiles, glass, woodwork, Christmas cards and decorations, and buy directly from the makers. Coinciding with the hugely popular Winter Jewels exhibition by the Association of Contemporary Jewellers, the weekend will be a fantastic opportunity for buyers to choose from a wide range of handcrafted items. Drop-in family craft workshops will also be available to keep younger ones entertained.
This free event is being organised by Artful, a new mobile art events organisation which supports and promotes artists by providing selling and exhibiting opportunities and creative workshops. Rebecca Maddox, the Director for Artful said:
“Artful seeks to provide creative opportunities for artists and members of the public. As well as pop-up events like this one, we organise bespoke workshops for groups, businesses, parties and schools, as we believe in creativity for everyone.”
