You might not be able to visit our family-friendly attractions across the Winchester district in person this half term, but we have lots of ideas and fun activities to inspire your little ones…

Take a trip under the sea with the Hampshire Cultural Trust
Grab your paper and sticky tape and join artist Lindsey Southworth for a fun, free, virtual craft workshop. Make your favourite under the sea creature on Saturday 13 February at 10.30am and transform your surroundings into an ocean paradise. Perfect for 4-10 year olds – grab your art set and start creating.

Be inspired by nature
The Winchester City Mill has some fun, natured inspired activities for you to try at home. Why not build a home for wildlife out of sticks, create wild art with pieces you find on your local walk, help a plant to grow or keep a nature diary? There are lots of things to try – find out more here.

Natural Art

Befriend your local wildlife
If you’re missing your favourite animals at Marwell Zoo why not befriend some of your more local creatures. Make your very own up-cycled bird feeder and invite your local birds to visit your outside space. Find out how from Marwell Zoo here.

Be inspired by art
If your little ones are budding artists unleash their creativity this half term with a visit to the Culture on Call website. Have a look at Inspire your heart with art and discover how others have been inspired by art. Why not have the whole family create some pieces and display them in your very own at home exhibition. If you need more inspiration why not try Marwell Zoo’s and Beaulieu’s colouring sheets –  you can even colour in King Alf.
