Road directions

From Portsmouth, Southampton & The West Country(South M27 M3) Leave M3 at Junction 11 and go straight ahead at the first roundabout (for St Cross). At the second roundabout take the 3rd exit (for St Cross). You are now on St Cross Road, after you pass the BP petrol station on your right, take any of the next 3 turnings on the right, and at the end of that road turn left which will bring you on to Kingsgate Street. The Wykeham Arms is at the end of the road on the left, you will find the car park to the rear of the building off Canon Street.

From London & Basingstoke (North ) M3 Leave the M3 at junction 9 and follow the directions for Winchester Park and Ride (straight ahead for the first three roundabouts). At the fourth roundabout, take the first exit for St Cross, which will lead you onto Garnier Road. Drive to the end of this road and turn right into Kingsgate Road. The Wykeham Arms is at the end of this road on the left and the car park is at the rear of the building off Canon Street.

From Oxford & Newbury (A34)

Winchester is clearly signposted from the A34. As you approach the city from the dual carriageway, you will encounter a series of roundabouts. Follow the directions for Winchester Park and Ride (straight ahead for the first three roundabouts). At the fourth roundabout, take the first exit for St Cross, which will lead you onto Garnier Road. Drive to the end of this road and turn right into Kingsgate Road. The Wykeham Arms is at the end of this road on the left and the car park is at the rear of the building off Canon Street.

Parking

Should you arrive at the Wykeham Arms only to find our car park full to the brim, do not despair!! If you are happy to leave your car keys with our very responsible team of staff at reception, you may block other cars. If you have luggage to unload or need assistance to park please ask any of our staff at the bar who will be only too happy to help.

Reception - The reception area can be reached via the courtyard, through the car park. If the receptionist is unavailable please ask at the bar for assistance.

Public transport directions

Public transport directions from Winchester train station. Walk towards the centre of town. Follow signs to the Cathedral. At Cathedral entrance follow signs to Winchester College and Jane Austen's House. The Wykeham Arms is opposite Winchester college.

The Wykeham Arms is situated a short distance from both the railway station and bus station. A taxi ride from either should cost no more than £5.00.
