Returning in 2018 for its 21st year, and one of the oldest festivals in Winchester, Winchester Festival has grown into an established week-long celebration of the arts, featuring music, talks, drama, visual arts and guided walks in venues across the city. This year’s programme includes an opening concert in Winchester Cathedral on Friday 6th July with local chamber choir, Southern Voices, alongside singers from the Choir of St Katharine’s Church, Braunschweig, Germany, performing Bach Magnificat, as well as a talk from veteran broadcaster Jeremy Paxman in conversation with ITN anchor, Alastair Stewart, about his memoir, A Life in Questions, on Sunday 8th July.
