Short walk from The Square

PO17 5JQ

Naturally formed water meadows.

These naturally formed water meadows, covering an area of approximately eight acres, form a tranquil oasis in the middle of the village. Owned by the Lord of the Manor until the early part of the 20th century, the water meadows were historically used for cattle grazing. Thanks to the foresight and hard work of local residents and volunteers the area has been transformed into a peaceful place to walk, picnic or simply spend some time by the water's edge complete with a new bridge across the River Meon, footpaths and a picnic area.
