Two Hoots is a quiet adult only site on a hill, nestled in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, less than a mile from the famous Watercress Steam Railway, four miles from the quaint Georgian town of Alresford, approx 10 miles from both Winchester and Petersfield. It is a great base for exploring Hampshire’s many attractions. 

This small friendly site offers 2 Shepherds Huts, 4 Eco Friendly Camping Pods & 5 pitches for caravans or motorhomes.  This site has open views across grassland to the front with woods beyond and beautiful far reaching views.

The site and facilities are of a high standard and are always kept clean and well maintained. No group bookings, ball or any airborne games permitted on site, keeping noise to a minimum & relaxation to a maximum.

In the picturesque Georgian town of Alresford, you will find all your necessaries, including take-aways, pubs and pavement cafes & boutiques.

There are endless activities here to suit everyone, including: 
Woodland walks, cycle routes, sports centres, driving experiences (such as tank & quad biking), Bird watching (theres a multitude of wildlife within the area), 
The Fulling Mill, Gardens, Country Houses (including Jane Austen’s house), Fly Fishing, Golf, Horse riding, Go-Karting, Milestones Museum, Farms, Rare Breeds Centre, Birdworld, Country Parks, Hot Air Balloon Flights, Marwell Zoo, Stonehenge, Hawk Conservancy, Old Winchester Hill Nature Reserve, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens, and much more...

Two Hoots is an establishment enjoyed by all, from honeymooners to OAPs! E-vouchers are also available for that special gift.

Caravans and motorhomes
Two Hoots offers five gravel hardstanding pitches for use by caravan and motorhome users. The usual facilities of electric hook-up, fresh water supply and toilet waste disposal point are available. All Vans must have own on-board facilities. Please note that access to the campsite is by a very narrow single track lane which is not suitable for large units over eight metres.

Choose a pod and go stress free, camping to Glamping in one easy step and an ideal grab a bag and go break! 

Pods are like a wooden tent but they are all fully and extra insulated and come with lockable double glazed French doors, carpet, light, heating, electric socket, TV/DVD player and each have a king-size bed and an enclosed porch area. One pod has an on-board toilet & sink. The additional insulation ensures Pods are really cosy even in the snowy winter months.

Dine alfresco and eat out on your private picnic bench or enjoy a chilled glass of wine on your decking area, maybe later sit and watch the sun setting over the beautiful Hampshire countryside or enjoy stargazing form the cosy warmth and security of your very own pod.

For guests staying in the camping pods there are facilities within an oak barn including WC's with small sink, shower, sink with hot and cold water for washing up, shelf in fridge, kettle and microwave. Special pod "Snugglewood" has an ensuite toilet and sink. 

Bedding hire is £15 for 1 night or £30 for the length of your stay.

The two Shepherds Huts, Lazy Days and Keepers Cosy, are traditionally built with a green corrugated exterior finish, but to a bespoke specification with French doors in the centre of the long side, additional windows and more living space than the original huts. The interior is wood panelling painted cream.

Inside there is a king-size bed, mini-kitchen with small oven, fridge and kettle, electric lighting, sockets and heating, a TV/DVD player, log-burning stove, cassette toilet and sink, and small table & chairs. Outside there’s another table with chairs and we can supply a stand for disposable BBQs.

The electricity supply is 16 amp. The appliances we’ve installed are low wattage but please note that with all the extras we’ve added the higher wattage items can not all be used at the same time.

You can hire bedding if you do not wish to bring your own for £30 for the duration of your stay.

Additional toilets and shower are in the campsite facilities block.

The huts are fully insulated for use all year round.

By road: Two Hoots is situated on a single width country lane with few passing places, because of this there are arrival & departure times so that the passing of vehicles to & from the site is kept to a minimum.   Arrival time after 3pm, departure time 10.30am if in Pod/Hut or 12noon if in van unless agreed otherwise.

On A31 Winchester-Alton road, head for Ropley, not Bighton. Take Bighton Hill at small crossroads from A31 signposted Bighton, over small bridge, sharp right then left bend. Take 2nd drive on left as road bends to right.
If travelling from Alton, at end of dual carriageway at North Street, take 2nd right at crossroads signposted Bighton Hill and continue as above.

By public transport: Take the Stagecoach bus service 64 from Winchester to The Dean, Ropley (A31 approx 1 mile walk from here, uphill). With your back towards the shop turn left. Turn left at crossroads signposted Bighton Hill, over small railway bridge, sharp right then left bend. Take 2nd drive on left as road bends to the right.
