Tashinga is a family run business born from the heritage of owner Peter Wells and the enthusiasm of wife Rachel Wells.
Peter was born in Africa and having both spent much time over there, the need to bring a little bit of it back to these shores was too great a temptation. 'Tashinga' is a shona word and means 'strength in adversity' (loosely translated), and 9 years on having weathered a few storms and added 2 children to the mix Tashinga is fully realised.
We are essentially a high-end gift and furniture shop, offering a truly diverse and unique range of items that suit all tastes and budgets. Our stock is not solely from Africa but where possible it is handcrafted, ethically sourced and always of the highest quality.
We are situated in the picturesque and historical village of Bishops Waltham in Hampshire but felt the time was right to perhaps reach a little farther afield.
