Winchester tourist information centre conditions of bookings

These terms are here to guide you through how the booking system works.

1. The accommodation detailed on the form has been booked for you by Winchester City Council's Tourist Information Centre (TIC) as an agent for the accommodation provider. Any contract for the booking is therefore directly between you and the accommodation provider. On arrival at the accommodation establishment, you should check that the accommodation is booked, including type of board and price.

2. The TIC will charge you a booking fee and a deposit. The deposit represents 10% of the value of your first night's accommodation, and will be deducted from your final account by the accommodation provider on production of this booking form. Neither the booking fee nor the deposit are refundable for any reason whatsoever.

3. Once the booking has been made by the TIC, any subsequent alterations or amendments to the accommodation booked should be discussed and agreed direct with the accommodation provider.

4. If you fail to take up the accommodation by the time stated without prior arrangement with the accommodation provider then the booking will automatically be considered void and the booking fee and deposit forfeited. The accommodation provider may also be entitled to charge you a cancellation fee.

5. If you decide to cancel the booking without taking it up, the accommodation provider may also be entitled to charge you a cancellation fee.

6. All accommodation registered with the TIC as been assessed by VisitBritain or the RAC. Whilst the TIC makes every effort to find suitable accommodation, it cannot be held responsible nor accept any liability for complaints or claims of any nature arising from this booking, nor any loss or damage which may be suffered by you or other members of your party, during or as a result of your stay at the accommodation establishment.

7. To the best of the TIC's knowledge, all prices quoted are inclusive of VAT and service.
