Come for a holiday in this lovely, peaceful cottage in the village of Denmead, about 12 miles north of Portsmouth, the home of the Royal Navy. We are about 20 miles from the historic cathedral cities of Winchester and Chichester and on the borders of the South Downs National Park.

Denmead has a good range of small shops, including a small supermarket, a baker and a greengrocer, as well as a heath centre, optician and dental surgery.

Flint Cottage was converted in 1989 from a late Georgian coach house to form a small detached dwelling situated in a corner of the owners' garden. It is situated in a quiet close a few minutes walk from the centre of Denmead. The accommodation comprises a living room, shower room, double bedroom with walk-in clothes closet, well equipped kitchenette and conservatory. It is very comfortably furnished and facilities include full central heating, television (Freeview) and DVD, refrigerator, freezer, electric cooker/hob and microwave. The roomy mezzanine style bedroom overlooks part of the garden, which is available for use by visitors. There are no extra charges for linen/towels, electricity or gas. WiFi is available through the BT OpenZone subscription service.

The cottage is ideal for one or two people interested in exploring the many nearby tourist attractions and the lovely Hampshire/Sussex countryside.

We regret that the cottage is unsuitable for children and that we do not accept pets. Guests are requested not to smoke within the cottage.

Road Directions

From the A3(M) take Junction 3 for Waterlooville on the B2150. Go through Waterlooville and into Denmead. Pass through the village centre, take the left fork at the village green, towards Southwick. The entrance to Ashling Close is opposite the White Hart car park, about 75 yards beyond the green.

Public Transport Directions

Havant is the closest mainline rail station. Take a 39 bus from Havant Bus Station to 'Waterlooville Precinct'. Change to a 45 or 45A for 'Denmead Green'. Take the left fork at the Green onto Southwick Road. Ashling Close is 100 yards on the left. Flint Cottage is about 250 yards from the Denmead Green.
