Calling all aspiring photographers – enter the Festivals in Winchester Photography Competition

Did your visit to the Festivals in Winchester Photography Exhibition leave you inspired and reaching for your camera? If you are an aspiring photographer then the Festivals in Winchester Photography Competition could lead to public recognition as a photographer -  or you could even win a fabulous prize!

The Festivals in Winchester group are on the look-out for up-and-coming photographers to photograph the best of this year’s festival season. If you think you’ve got what it takes to capture an image that sums up the kaleidoscope of activity that occurs in the city streets and live arts venues during festival season, then here’s your chance to make your name.

If your image is selected you could win one of these fantastic prizes:

FIRST PRIZE
A portrait shoot with multiple-award winning photographer Kin Ho. Kin’s photograph of Alexander McQueen has just been purchased by the National Gallery so this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity be captured for posterity by a master of the art of portrait photography. www.kinho.com

SECOND PRIZE

All you need to do is take a selection of high resolution images (maximum ten images per entrant) and submit them on disk to Winchester Tourism by 31 August 2010. We’ll review the entries and contact the winners by 15 September 2010.

Some of the best photos may be selected for Winchester City Council’s publicity materials and entrants will be asked for permission to be included. Your name will be printed alongside any images published - so everyone could be a winner!
