Toilets

The image above shows an eye-catching display of medieval water pitchers, a Roman mosaic and examples of Edwardian sanitary engineering and other domestic conveniences has been installed in the window of the Market Lane public toilets in the centre of Winchester. The items, which all relate to a watery theme, will brighten up what is a first stop for many a visitor to the city.

The City Council is responsible for public toilets in central Winchester and the larger villages and small towns of Alresford, Bishop's Waltham, Denmead and Wickham. All have facilities for disabled people and, wherever possible, remain open 24 hours a day.

Further information about toilets in the Winchester district can be found on the Winchester City Council website. You may also find the City centre map (pdf) useful to locate toilets in the city.
