National Motor Museum Beaulieu

None

In the heart of the glorious New Forest, Beaulieu is a magical place, combining the charm of an ancient Abbey, the grace of a classical stately home and the celebrated National Motor Museum which are all included in the excitement of a modern visitor attraction. Ride on the high level monorail or climb aboard the replica 1912 open top London bus for a fun way to see Beaulieu’s sights.

The world-famous National Motor Museum has over 250 vintage, veteran and classic cars from World Land Speed Record Breakers and Formula 1 racers to family cars of the 70s and 80s. Jack Tucker’s Garage recreates the sights, sounds and smells of a country garage from the 1930s.

The National Motor Museum’s latest exhibition, ‘Autoglym Supercars’, showcases a selection of the fastest, most expensive and exotic sports cars such as the Ferrari Enzo, Aston Martin Virage and McLaren F1.

In Palace House, home of the Montagu family since 1538, tales from the butler, cook and housemaids give a fascinating insight into the workings of a Victorian household. The 13thC Abbey features an exhibition and film of the life of its Cistercian Monk founders while The Secret Army Exhibition tells the story of wartime Beaulieu and the training of secret agents.

Beaulieu has extensive gardens to explore including the fragrant Victorian Flower Garden, the informal Wilderness Garden, dating back to the 1770s and the Ornamental Kitchen Garden. Visitors can also take a stroll along the meandering pathways beside Beaulieu River and the Monks’ Mill Pond.

This day out for the whole family is open every day except Christmas Day. Please visit website for current admission prices.
Beaulieu is a little over 2 miles from its sister attraction Bucklers Hard, a picturesque 18thC village on the Beaulieu River.
