Flying Soldiers! The army in the air from early balloons to attack helicopters! This award winning museum is home to a national collection of military kites, World War 2 gliders, areoplanes and helicopters. With imaginative displays and dioramas the museum traces the devlopment of army flying from pre World War 1 to today's modern Army Air Corps. Situated right next to a working airfield, this musuem has over 35 fixed wing and rotary aircraft on display plus a replica 1940's house - Rose Terrace, cinema, simulator, rifle ranges, shop, cafe, large grassed picnic space and plenty of free parking for coaches and cars. Also available for private hire and for special events such as exhibitions, conferences, concerts, product launches, dinners etc.
