A charming 18th century house with a glorious garden in the heart of Old Selborne, surrounded by countryside of outstanding splendour. Home of famous naturalist Rev. Gilbert White, author of "The Natural History of Selborne".
The garden is well documented by White and has been largely restored to it's 18th century form with features & plants as he described. Temporary exhibition on of Captain Oates who accompanied Scott on his illfated Antartic Expedition. T
Tea parlour with fare based on 18th century recipes and an excellent shop with interesting gifts and books.
Open daily from 1st January - 24th December.

Selborne is on the B3006 from Alton to the A3. The village car park is behind the Selborne Arms and to reach the house and Museum, turn left on leaving the car park and continue along the High Street. The house will be found on the left hand side, almost opposite the Plestor (a small village green) and Church.
