Rebuilt in 1744 on an earlier medieval site, the working watermill spans the River Itchen. The Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust offer guided walks to the Winnall Moors Nature Reserve and regular flour milling demonstrations are also given – please contact the mill for dates.

The mill has a delightful island garden and impressive mill races. The video, children’s quizzes (extra activities during school holidays) will keep the family entertained. The shop offers a wide range of National Trust and local goods, including stoneground flour.
