Jazz Legend To Play at Winchester Cathedral

Acker Bilk & his Paramount Jazz Band – Saturday 15th May, 7.30pm

 Jazz Legend Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band will play a concert at Winchester Cathedral at 7.30pm on Saturday 15th May. Tickets, which range from £15 to £25, are available from the Cathedral Box Office on 01962 857 725 or on-line at www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk. A limited number of tickets for a pre-concert supper (5.30pm, 14.95 per head) are also available, again from the Box Office.

 Acker Bilk MBE MA and his Paramount Jazz Band gained worldwide fame with his hit singles 'Stranger On The Shore' in 1962 (it stayed in the charts for 55 weeks and was the first number 1 hit in UK and USA simultaneously) and 'Aria' in 1976.
