Winchester Fashion Week Takes Over The Brooks Shopping Centre

Winchester Fashion Week preparations are now in full swing. With a brimming timetable including a Vintage Fashion Dance night, lectures and workshops on everything fashion, and catwalk shows expected to be sell outs, the week of 25-31 July is one not to miss.   The most recent exciting addition to Winchester Fashion Week is a partnership with the Brooks Shopping Centre, Winchester.

From Monday 18th July to Sunday 31st July there will be a Pop Up Design Shop and Gallery open for business, courtesy of Fashion Team member Suzie Brown and the Brooks Shopping Centre Development Consultant Karen Hawes.   You can expect some amazing finds direct from contemporary designers and makers not available in the shops, with an emphasis on treasures sourced from Hampshire.

The Winchester Fashion Week Team will be taking over the shopping centre with three catwalk shows. Running Monday 25th, Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th July at 12:30pm these shows are not to be missed! The team is joining forces with the local retailers including New Look, Primark, Beales, H2o Mud Snow and Your Life Your Style. Prepare to be inspired for your summer wardrobe, get your glad rags on and get yourself snapped by our fashion week photographers.

In other news, tickets for the workshops, lectures, Frock Swap and Vintage Dance Night are available now from Winchester Discovery Centre, call the box office on 01962 873 603. Tickets for the Cirque Du Fashion Shows at the Guildhall Winchester on Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th at 7pm will be available at a later date. Tickets are not needed for the Brooks Shopping Centre shows.  Model castings have now taken place, so look forward to seeing Winchester’s new faces at our catwalk shows.

Poppy Koumis, Winchester Fashion Week Creative Director commented:  "Winchester Fashion Week is going to be a spectacular coming together of initiatives by young people and local talent.
