Young visitors to Winchester Tourist Information Centre can take part in a quest to find King Alfred. Images of Winchester’s famous monarch will be hidden around the centre and there will be a small prize for eager eyed children who can spot them all.
This activity will take place over the bank holiday weekend and the final week of the school summer holidays from 29 August to 5 September.
Cllr Dominic Hiscock, Winchester City Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Prosperity, said:
‘ Winchester tourist information centre always offers a welcome to families with young children, providing colouring sheets and a word search to keep the youngsters busy while parents find inspiration for things to keep them occupied during the holidays. I am delighted that they have come up with yet another idea to entertain young visitors.’
Winchester Tourist Information Centre is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
