Atmospheric Landscape Photographic Exhibition at Winchester City Mill

7th October 2011

The National Trust is proud to announce that this October half term it will be hosting an exclusive photographic exhibition of atmospheric landscapes from across the Solent region at Winchester City Mill.
The conservation charity recently announced that its membership numbers have now topped 4 million people nationally and prides itself on providing an outstanding range of visitor events.
The exhibition at the City Mill will be featuring work by both professional and local photographers alike and will run from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 30th of October with free entry to the public all day on Saturday 22nd for the exhibition launch.

Ric Weeks, Assistant Property Manager at the City Mill said - ‘This is a really exciting event for the City Mill, we often use our gallery space for artistic exhibitions but this will be the first time  that we have hosted such a wide range of exclusive photographic work. The landscapes featured are stunning and include many familiar regional landmarks, whilst the atmospheric theme of the exhibition lends itself perfectly to this National Trust property and the autumnal season.’

As well as this exhibition the City Mill will also be running a wide range of exciting family events during the half term week including daily quizzes and trails, a Halloween themed baking demonstration on the 26th, costumed story telling on the 26th and 29th, wooden sword and magic wand making workshops on the 27th and 28th and a special evening Halloween themed lecture ‘Haunted National Trust Properties of Hampshire’ by local author and ghost hunter Matthew Feldwick on the 29th.
For further details about any of these events please contact the City Mill.
