It Ain’t ‘alf Hot Mum

You never know, it might be a hot summer. So if you want to avoid the inevitable traffic jams to the coast and constant lashings on of sun protection creams then there is a cool place for families – the INTECH Science Centre & Planetarium near Winchester.

INTECH is ready for the unpredictable summer by providing special offers if it is hot, ‘early bird’ visitor bargains, a holiday activity programme and hours of family fun come rain or shine.

For those hot days there is a special hot deal. If the temperature reaches 20c at INTECH at 9:30am then all admissions to the Science Centre will be half price for the day! The INTECH website www.intech-uk.com will announce the special bargain day and a giant thermometer will be set up outside the entrance to display the 9:30 temperature. Offer excludes the planetarium and not with any other offers.

Another summer holiday bargain is for those ‘early bird’ visitors who will be given free entry to the first planetarium show (10:40am) with their admission. Intech opens at 10am. The state-of the-art planetarium has amazing digital shows within the cool air conditioned theatre.

Both these offers are available throughout August only.

 The holiday activity programme includes falconry every Friday (30 July – 27 Aug. except 13 Aug), a talk by popular children’s author Nick Arnold (Horrible Science books) on Wednesday 28 July, a day of activities about the sun on Sunday 8 Aug, and Bee Days on the weekend of 14/15 Aug.

INTECH is an all-weather facility featuring 100 hands-on exhibits, the UK’s largest capacity planetarium with a variety of shows for all ages and interests.
